Designer / Design Manager / Creative Director – For the better part of 2 decades I designed boats for Sea Ray, Bayliner and other Brunswick brands. As the concept development manager I lead the design team that developed the concepts for well over 100 boat projects and have either influenced or directly designed the exterior, interior, layout, architecture, helm / work stations, features and details for these boats. 

In particular I am proud to have designed and developed the Sundancer 470 Exterior design and layout,  the Sundancer 510 exterior design, and features, the SLX 350 exterior design and features and the SLX 400 Exterior Design, layout, features and detailing. As in any design environment, there is synergy and designers working off each other. There is never any one person that owns that design. The best products are always a collection of the best ideas and as a design manager, these ideas need to be sorted and nurtured into a compelling and holistic design – I started Avast Design in September of 2018. After 2 years we have designed and developed product for Cobalt, Mastercraft – Aviara, Hurricane and Edgewater boats - I am heavily rooted in the belief that you provide the customers a reason to do business with you! With 22 years of marine design experience, I have designed boats and watercraft for some of the premier companies in the industry including BRP,  Sea Ray and Boston Whaler. With a strong industrial design background having graduated from the College of Creative Studies in Michigan with a focus in product design my skill set has diversified over the last 2 decades of marine design and development. Including a keen eye for aesthetics, surfacing and design detailing I have a strong working experience with Rhino 3D modeling, Rendering software including Keyshot as well as multiple sketching and visualization tools. I have designed all types of boats from premier fishing boats to jet boats to luxury yachts, cruisers and sport boats that range from 13' - 70'. I have worked in both concept and refinement capacity and know how to get your vision into reality.

A 21-year senior designer with a very diverse background have worked in the marine industry, automotive industry, aerospace industry, and designed ground support equipment for NASA. I bring a very broad knowledge to the team, which include, but not limited to, all aspects of mechanical design, as well as class A surfacing and tooling design. Born and raised in Michigan for the first 26 years of my life. I moved to Florida in 2006 to establish myself as a South Florida resident. I am very family oriented and love being on the water with my children as well as coaching them in a multitude of sports. My Diverse background and ability to work in several different aspects of engineering, I help bring a level of solid CAD engineering design to the Avast team
